ApeChain’s version of March Madness is here, and it’s called May Madness.
Over the next few weeks, $APE NFT communities will face off on the timeline in a bracket-style tournament for fame, bragging rights, and the title of ApeChain’s best project. And tonight’s your last chance to fill out a bracket for a shot at 1,000 $Ape and some exclusive ApeChain NFTs!
College basketball has March Madness and now ApeChain has May Madness, thanks to Made By Apes brand Unboxing Web3. Beginning this Monday, the MBA brand will kick off a first-of-its-kind, single-elimination tournament featuring Geez On Ape, Rillaz, Frostbyte, Degen, Pxl Pals, HopStarz, Chumpz, Gobs, Not A Punks Cult, DSNRS, Banana on Ape, Wild Dogs, Zards, Dengs, and Mingles. All battling it out to determine, once and for all, which community is on top.
"May Madness was born out of our desire to keep the ApeChain community buzzing in between Apechain spotlight seasons,” Guccheetah told the Gazette. “After the success of ApeChain Spotlight Season 1, we wanted to bring something interactive and exciting to our audience. It's a chance for every ape to dive into the action, pitting their favorite projects against each other, and win big in ApeCoin and exclusive ApeChain NFTs. Don't miss out—join the madness and let the games begin!"
May Madness will operate just like March Madness. Unboxing Web3 created a 15 NFT collection bracket based on sales volume and seeded each project accordingly. But instead of basketball games determining who advances, community votes on X polls will decide who wins.
“Each day of a matchup we will post a video breaking down the matchup along with a Twitter poll,” Guccheetah said. “The Twitter poll will last 24 hours and the project with the most votes advance in the tournament.”
The first May Madness matchup tips off on Mondat, May 5th, with Rillaz on Ape facing off against Frostbyte. Check out the full bracket, tournament schedule, and seeding below:
