Four years, 441 episodes, and countless hours of gratefulness later, The Grateful Show celebrated its fourth anniversary yesterday, and while Web3 has changed dramatically, community and vibes remain at the heart of it all.

Back on February 24, 2021, NBA Top Shot drops were all the rage, CryptoPunks were starting to catch bids but were still months away from their debuts at Christie’s and Sotheby’s, and Bored Apes weren’t even a thing yet. But The Grateful Show was and it has aired every week ever since.

“Guys four years today,” Grateful said. “Exactly four years today we had our first episode of the Grateful Show. So many legends here in the audience many who have been here since day 1, it’s absolutely wild. We also had 866 people on stage, which is crazy. i don’t even think there are 866 people in Web3 anymore, I’m kidding! Absolutely wild journey."

While there’s no recording of that first episode, Grateful reminisced about the show’s beginnings, remembering a three and a half hour Space focused on how to build an NFT project with his special guest turned co-host TinoForbidden. He said even back then, the space was filled with frens hanging out and talking about NFTs,  and in many ways, not much has changed.

“it’s unbelievable that we’ve had 866 people here through those four years,” Grateful said. “ We started this show to hang out with other excited people in Web3. To learn from each other. To do some crazy stuff. To meet IRL, and it worked flawlessly!”

As Grateful reflected on the memories, longtime listeners and friends like Squiddy came up on the Space to give him and Tino their flowers.

“This is my favorite Space on X, he said. “You are the most kind, humble, grateful, giving people out there and I’m just very grateful to be part of the journey. You guys are the best. You two are a true beacon to the space and I’m just grateful we are connected and homies. You are the OGs. Thank you… I’m forever grateful!”

At the end of yesterday’s show, GratefulApe thanked listeners again and looked forward to the years ahead.

“We are going to have a lot of fun in 2026, 2027, 2028,” he said. “I don’t want to be like LeBron when he went to Miami and said I’m not going to win one title, two titles, three titles, four titles, because who knows what will happen,  but guys, what a great show!”

The Gazette congratulates GratefulApe and TinoForbidden on four years of shows and wishes them the best of luck on the next 441 episodes. Stay tuned for updates!
