ApeCoin DAO contributor and Special Council nominee, BigBag1987, wants to help pilot the DAO to new heights through transparency and integrity as a member of the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council.
The election season of 2023 is in heating up at ApeCoin DAO, with 21 contributors officially running to replace Yat Siu or Alexis Ohanian on the DAO's Special Council this summer.
Among the candidates vying for a position on the ApeCoin DAO's Special Council is ApeCoin DAO contributor BigBag1987.
"As a dedicated member and believer in the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem, I have been actively involved since November 18th, 2021, and I am passionate about contributing to the continued success and growth of Ape Coin,” BigBag1987 wrote on his ApeCoin candidate page. “Being part of the Ape Coin Special Council would be a dream come true, as it would allow me to combine my expertise with my unwavering belief in the potential of Ape Coin."

1.How did you get into the ApeCoin DAO?
“I'm an active member in BAYC community, and my interest in decentralized finance led me to wanting to be apart of ApeCoin DAO. Intrigued by all things that are APE related, I joined the DAO to contribute my expertise and help protect its future.”
2.In a sentence or two, why should the community vote for you?
“I bring a unique blend of experience, and dedication to the table. I am committed to ensuring transparency, and integrity within the ApeCoin DAO, ensuring that the community's voice is heard and its interests are represented.”
3.What would you like to accomplish if elected?
“My primary goal is to help promote the growth and development of the ApeCoin DAO.”
4. Where do you see the DAO a year from now?
“A year from now, The DAO will establish itself as a prominent player in the crypto space, with a diverse range of innovative projects and a strong community driving its success.”
5. What makes you different from the other candidates?
“Not for sure since I don't know any of the other candidates personally. I hold Integrity as top priority, wanting nothing more than what's best for ApeCoin and the community.”

“Together, we can shape the future of the ApeCoin DAO and build a thriving decentralized ecosystem that benefits all participants.”

The window to vote in the ApeCoin DAO's first round of Special Council voting opens on June 15th, and $Ape holders will have until June 21st to cast their votes and support their preferred nominees. After the first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from June 22nd to 28th, during which the community will elect two Special Council members to replace Yat Siu and Alexis Ohanian on the board.
