MEET THE CANDIDATE: Grains Is Running To Be One Of The ApeCoin DAO's First Web3 Development Working Group Stewards
ApeCoin DAO contributor Grains has experienced the high highs of being an entrepreneur, like when he started his first company at 18 and managed the Australian Pink Floyd tribute band, and he has also experienced the low lows, like when he failed computer science or lost his Bitcoin wallet in 2013. Through these experiences, Grains has learned about resiliency and what it takes to be successful. Now he’s hoping to bring the skills he’s learned over the years to the ApeCoin DAO as one of its first-ever Web3 Development Working Group Stewards!
The ApeCoin DAO’s summer election season is anything but boring as the community gets ready to elect two of its fellow ApeCoin DAO contributors to chair the DAO’s new Web3 Development Working Group.
The goal of this committee will be to “build income generating projects for the ApeCoin DAO, ApeCoin initiatives like ThankApe, Boring Security DAO, MBA licensed projects, and the ApeCoin community. ApeChain will be a strong focus point once we reach that point,” according to the group’s mandate.
In total, five ApeCoin DAO contributors have thrown their hats in the ring and are running for these positions. Among the candidates vying for this role is Grains.
“My journey from starting my first company at 18, building a concert travel business into the largest in the UK, founding and growing Affiliate Window to a $170 million enterprise, and empowering artists through FanCircles, has fuelled me to drive meaningful change,” Grains wrote on his candidate page. “My vision as a Working Group Steward is to leverage these experiences to foster a culture of innovation and inclusivity within the DAO. I aim to drive product development that delivers real benefits to our community, enhance member engagement through open dialogue and collaboration, and ensure the DAO’s long-term financial sustainability. Transparency and accountability will be at the core of all initiatives to build trust and align our actions with community values. My goal is to make a positive impact and support the continued success of the ApeCoin DAO.”
