MEME ON: Bored Memes Wants To Turn Your Ape Into A GIF! Find Out More:

Teamwork makes the memes work around the swamp. On Tuesday, the “Mega Dorks” behind Bored Memes took to the timeline to ask the community for help creating new gifs to add to their ape-themed meme collection.

Bored Memes is swinging back into action and teaming up with ThankApe as part of the Built By ApeCoin initiative to create fresh memes inspired by their frens around the swamp!

 

“GM!! We are back to Bored Meme-ing Apes!! Taking new meme requests. Share your BAYC / MAYC below (1 per person), and a Meme idea that you would like the Ape to be modeled on. We will try to get it done. FOR FREEEE! (sponsored by @ThankApe BBAC program) Turn around time: 2-4 weeks. Memes will be uploaded to GIF library across all social media platforms upon completion.”

 

 

Following the call for submissions, Apes flooded the timeline with ideas, ranging from “Just Fucking Send It,” featuring BAYC member iRiSh’s stuntman Bored Ape, to “The Hat Stays On,” showcasing LawOfTheSaw’s cowboy-hat-wearing Mutant Ape.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Bored Memes was founded by BAYC members ChastenXBT, FoxSlightly, and Bayc1K in April 2024. Their mission? To get Apes memeing again and remind the community not to take themselves too seriously.

 

“We want all Apes to have their own go-to memes that they can use in IRL convo with friends and family, beyond the Web3 space,” Bored Memes told the Gazette at the time. “Hence the initiative to make memes based on Apes owned by the community. Hopefully these memes become one of the building blocks of BAYC / MAYC culture in time to come.”

 

To date, Bored Memes has created 407 gifs that have been viewed 260 million times, according to Giphy.
