Eight percent of the Otherside is now owned by HV-MTL holder and avid NFT collector Adam Weitsman after he added another 2,000 Otherdeeds and 203 Kodas to his top tier collection in an apparent deal with Web3 gaming company Improbable IO.

On Saturday, Weitsman took to the timeline and announced that he had acquired an anonymous metaverse mogul’s entire portfolio in an over the counter deal.
"Very excited to announce the acquisition of 2,000 Otherdeeds and 203 Kodas from an important private collection,” Weitsman wrote. “I’ve always been the strongest believer in Yuga Labs and their Otherside project and I’m very grateful to the seller for their trust in me. This acquisition will now add to the assemblage creating a collection of over 8,500 Otherdeeds. To me, NFTs are more than just a digital asset; they represent a personal passion of mine. Each purchase reflects my confidence and support of the entire Web3 community. Special thanks to @steven_papas for putting this deal together, and @nichoviss for always helping me with your knowledge. You both are very important to me.”
While Weitsman did not confirm who he acquired the 2,000 Otherdeeds from, he did share a video montage featuring several of the deeds presumably included in the deal.
One of these deeds was Otherdeed #40123, a four star Chaos environment with a Koda atop it, which is currently owned by Improbable, according to OpenSea and OSWiki data. Making it more likely than not that Improbable is the seller.
The Gazette reached out to Improbable IO Co-Founder and CEO Herman Narula for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Today’s 2,000 Otherdeed acquisition marks the second massive Otherside land deal made by Weitsman.
As the Gazette previously reported, in August 2025, he acquired 5,000 Otherdeeds directly from Yuga Labs in another over the counter deal.
At the time, Weitsman said he hoped his move would serve as a beacon of hope for the space, with a long term vision of turning these deeds into a place where the next generation can dream and create.
“I’ve got some ideas about kids playing this all over the world,” he said in an interview with NowMedia. “This is a tough world. A place that kids can dream in. They can dream that this is their house and this is their land… “I’d love to be able to have an advisor for every 30 Otherdeeds” who would teach them how to build. Teach them how to trade. Teach them how to barter…. “This space needs a beacon of hope, I don’t have a financial interest in Yuga, so I can be very objective, I’m not biased toward the thing. I just want what’s best for the space.”
The Gazette is working to find out more about today’s deal. Stay tuned for updates!
