Vital Toys founder and Bored Ape Yacht Club member Sidney Richlin will be dropping it like it's hot tomorrow as he showcases his Dr. Bombay figurine, inspired by Snoop Dogg's Bored Ape, live from New York Comic Con as part of its exclusive release at Walmart!

This Saturday at 11 a.m. ET, Richlin will be going live on Walmart Live as part of the retailer's New York Comic Con festivities.

“ill be live with Walmart showcasing  the 13 inch exclusive Dr. Bombay figure and talking about Vital Toys and its 30 year history of making the dopest collectibles,” Richlin said. “From where it all started with Snoop’s Lil Junior to this guy Dr. Bombay.”

As the Gazette previously reported, Richlin and Snoop Dogg's history of making toys together dates back more than two decades!

Back in the early 2000s, Richlin's company, Vital Toys, teamed up with Snoop to create six action figures inspired by the legendary rapper, one of which was even featured in the music video for his song, “From Tha Church To Da Palace.”

Then, thanks to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the pair got back in business together in 2023 to reimagine Snoop Dogg's Bored Ape as a plastic primate!

Now, more than two decades after they first teamed up, Richlin is taking their collaboration to one of the world's largest retailers, showing the power of NFTs and he’s hoping everyone will ape in and show some support!

“Snoop is using his Ape as real commercial IP,” Richlin told the Gazette. “Vital Toys is bringing 30+ years of manufacturing and product experience to it. Walmart is putting it in front of a mainstream audience. And New York Comic Con gives us the stage to launch it. My hope is that Dr. Bombay is the beginning of something much bigger and helps open a real pathway for BAYC holders to take their IP into mainstream retail.”

Tonight, the Dr. Bombay collectible is availible on Walmart's website for $249 USD, and Richlin is slated to go live with the retailer from New York Comic Con this Saturday, October 10, at 11 A.M. ET!

The Gazette will continue to follow Richlin and his Dr. Bombay collectible and will let you know how tomorrow's livestream goes. Stay tuned for updates!
