ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Wants To Bring In Real Life Events Around The Swamp And Broader Web3 World To Apechain

After encountering long lines at ApeFest, Bored Ape Yacht Club member NotBurger came up with an idea for an Ape Improvement Proposal that uses ApeChain to streamline the check-in process and personalize real-life events!

AIP-450, titled ‘NFT Event Check-in Solution Based on ApeChain,’ is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by BAYC member and ApeCoin DAO Contributor NotBurger.

“This proposal aims to introduce an NFT event check-in solution based on ApeChain, combining hardware products (NFC chips and scanners) and software products (an app based on ApeChain) to provide NFT holders with an immersive experience at all NFT offline events,” NotBurger wrote.

By creating this check-in solution on ApeChain, NotBurger believes they can charge events outside the swamp to use the tech, encourage attendees to make IRL purchases denominated in $Ape, and burn $Ape as a gas fee.

To build this ApeChain check-in solution, NotBurger and his team are asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate 480,000 $Ape to AIP-450. He anticipates that they can have the product built in 18 weeks and plans to give the ApeCoin DAO 50% of the product’s gross revenue in perpetuity if the proposal passes.

 

The window to vote on AIP-450 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, July 17th, to cast their coins and vote on this AIP.
