On the Ballot: This Ape Improvement Proposal Aims to Donate $1.2 Million USD to Maui Wildfire Victim

After a massive wildfire spread across the island of Maui in Hawaii two months ago, there is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week at the ApeCoin DAO that hopes to help impacted families rebuild their lives!

AIP-334 titled ‘Maui Relief Fund,’ is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Special Council Member Gerry.

“In light of the recent tragedy on Maui and staying true to our DAO’s ethos, the ApeCoin community has the ability and responsibility to offer timely relief to those affected,” Gerry wrote.

In AIP-334, Gerry asked the ApeCoin DAO to allocate 1.2 million USD worth of $Ape to relief efforts in Lahaina, with $200,000 USD going to the Maui Humane Society and $1,000,000 USD being distributed among 100 local families, each receiving $10,000 USD.

“By directing funds to the Maui Humane Society and 100 identified local families devastated by the recent disaster, we can provide immediate, tangible support during this crucial time.”

The window to vote on AIP-334 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until next Wednesday, October 25th, to cast their coins.
