As most of the world’s marketing teams sent out punchlines that didn’t land on April Fools’ Day, Pudgy Penguins delivered something real, giant Pengu plushies that stand three and a half feet tall and weigh 25 pounds!
“It lives on your bed, your couch, your floor, wherever life actually happens,” the Pudgy Penguin wrote. “Some say it makes those places feel different: softer, warmer, more like somewhere you want to be. For plush lovers with taste and gifters who refuse to be forgettable.”
As Pudgy Penguins and fans everywhere waddle into this limited edition sale, a few longtime holders got a sneak peek at these giant Pengu plushies, showing everyone that a three and a half foot tall penguin is no joke.
“Yesterday I received a gift from the @pudgypenguins fam,” Justin Lewis tweeted along with an unboxing video of the plush. “It was big and heavy. This giant $PENGU plush is no joke. Not sure where I’m gunna keep it. But our chihuahua is in love.”
While this is the first time these oversized Pudgy plushies have hit the market, it’s not the first time we’ve seen them. For years, these fat, flightless birds have popped up in the backgrounds of popular streamers both in and out of Web3.
