POG-ABLY NOTHING: ApeCoin Announces A Collaboration With Pogs As The Company Joins The BAYC!

Pogs, Primates, and all on ApeChain? Pog-ably Nothing!

It was a slammer of a Mutant Monday around the swamp and $Ape ecosystem after ApeCoin announced a new partnership with the classic collectible stacking disc game, Pogs.

“I'm going to need a new place to store all my new POGs...,” the DAO tweeted along with a Ziploc bag filled with Jaws, Universal, E.T. and Gobs On Ape Pogs!

 

For the younger crowd, Pogs were a big deal back in the ’90s and are still collected today. The game involves stacking Pog discs and slamming them with a heavier metal disc called a slammer. To play, simply stack up your Pogs and throw your slammer at the pile. Any flipped over Pogs count as a point!

As the DAO continues to stack top tier collabs one on top of the other, the Pogs intern took to the timeline to introduce the Web3 world to the company’s pogged out primate, and teased a golden giveaway that everyone can enter tonight!

The Pogs Ape, Mutant Ape #3424, is a four-trait M1 primate with brown fur, a bored unshaven mouth, coin eyes, and an orange background.

At this time, we don’t know exactly what will come of ApeCoin’s collaboration with Pogs, but we do know this ApeCoin is in legendary company. Pogs has previously teamed up with brands like Coca-Cola, Marvel, Disney, Pokémon, and more.
