PROBABLY NOTHING: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Teases Otherside "Info Drop And Videos Next Week.”

It was a short and sweet Wednesday Q&A with Yuga Labs CEO Garga in the Otherside Discord today, as he had to board a plane. But that didn’t stop him from sending the community’s heads spinning, teasing that next week will be anything but boring.
With the first phase of an always on Otherside set to kick off either later this month or early next, Garga teased that a major info dump and new Otherside videos will be hitting the timeline soon.
“Yo guys sorry omw to airport dealing with a lot of travel headaches today,” Garga wrote. “Spires tease coming very soon and big info drop + vids next week.”
While we don’t know exactly what the Yuga Labs team will reveal during the upcoming drop, Garga previously shared that it’ll clear a lot of things up and help prepare the community for when the Otherside becomes a reality.
“Yes, our plan is to do a big info dump prior to persistent state, Garga wrote in March. “So you get a heads up for what's happening NOW-ish, what's happening in the Winter release, and what the roadmap is beyond. Have been trying to be pretty clear about what the persistent state will look like but images and vids always help.”
As we wait for next week’s news, here’s what we do know about the summer launch and the upcoming winter update.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previusly reported, the first persistent Otherside experience will be a game called Bathroom Blitz, developed by BAYC member CryptoVonDoom and his CommandLine team using Yuga Labs’ Otherside Development Kit.
“Batthroom Blitz is crazy little toy soldiers style game,” Garga said on CryptoVonDoom’s FYI Space back in March. “You are the size of a toy soldier and you’re in the BAYC’s bathroom. There is shit everywhere and you got a sniper rifle. You can pick up an AK-47, you can grapple up on the walls. It’s a small team Shooter, 16 by 16. Its fun and kind of an homage to the days of counterstrike, kitchen rats game, and other toy solider mods that have come out for different shooters over the years. Whenever we test it internally or with your team its always a ton of fun.”
Following Bathroom Blitz, Yuga Labs plans to roll out another ODK experience known internally as Zombie Tag, with additional games and persistent experiences coming in phases every few weeks.
“Big info dump in June, first ODK experience persistent in late June/early July, next one a couple weeks after, and so forth until we get to full persistence for all the main islands (Nexus being the big one, but also The Swamp, Meetropolis,” Garga said on Discord at the time. “BB first, then other stuff soon after,” he said. “Other games we haven't talked about yet, Poker, Bubbles, etc.”
