Q&A: This AIP Aims To Add An $Ape Price Bot To The DAO's Discord. Find Out More About AIP- 306:

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that hopes to make it easier for holders to access important $Ape metrics within the DAO’s Discord sever.

AIP-306 titled ‘ApeCoin Price Tracking Bot,’ is an information proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor Mauricio Londer.

“This project proposes the development of a Discord bot dedicated to real-time tracking of ApeCoin prices,” Londer wrote. “In addition to providing information on the current price, daily, monthly, and annual percentage changes, trading volume, market capitalization, and changes from the all-time high price, the bot is also capable of generating comparative charts between ApeCoin and Ethereum over a seven-day period.”

If passed, the addition of an ApeCoin Price bot to the DAO’s Discord will not cost the community anything and the bot can be fully operational within three weeks of this AIP passing, according to Londer.

1. In a sentence or two can you sum up what your proposal?

“My proposal is to create a bot for discord that keeps the community informed about ApeCoin and is a facilitator when searching for information about it.”

2. What made you want to make this AIP?

I joined the community recently and I really enjoy being there, I want to help it grow, and I believe that with my knowledge in programming can help

3. Why is a price bot important?

“I thought it was really cool to see live price of ApeCoin in real time on Discord, Furthermore, I think it is important that people are informed and can easily access the information they need without having to resort to third party websites.”

4. Why are you the right person to make and implement this bot?

“I am a front end developer with 4 years of experience, I have developed several projects and currently study solidity and blockchain thank you.”

The window to vote on AIP-306 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, September 13 at 9 P.M. EST, to cast their coins.
