Rest In Boredom: The BAYC Lost An Ape. Find Out What Happened

The Bored Ape Yacht club lost an ape after one member sent his to a burn address.


BAYC member, taylorwtf sent his Bored Ape #8860 to a burn address Thursday according to Opensea data and his Twitter account.


“My friend. I have sent your gift,” Taylor tweeted.”I hope the apes cause you less trouble than they have for me.”


Taylor followed this tweet up with a gif of Bored Ape #8860 burning.


“I can't think about it anymore tbh,” Jenesis_zed tweeted. “My body couldn't decide between (tear face emoji) and (vomit face emoji) and I am just really sad about it.”


While many apes were saddened by this news, some Twitter users said this is just Taylor being himself.


“Oh, that's just Taylor bringing the WTF,” @gl1tchart tweeted.


After this loss, the Bored Ape Gazette wanted to take a moment and look back on the life of Bored Ape #8860.


Bored Ape #8860 was minted by Opensea user JabJab, according to the blockchain. Bored Ape #8860 was then sold to Taylor for .68 Eth.


Bored Ape #8860 was 5 trait ape with dark brown fur, a BAYC t shirt and a blindfold. Apes that knew him said he always had a small grin on his face.


The Bored ape Gazette reached out to Taylor for comment but did not hear back from him by the time of this articles publication.


Since sending Bored Ape #8860 to the burn address, Taylor has updated his Twitter biography to include “ape cremator.”


Taylor still hold 21 Bored Apes and serval derivate apes according to his opensea account.


Bored Ape #8860 will never be forgotten.
