REST IN PEACE: Singer, Songwriter, And BAYC Member Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at 76

It was a somber day around the swamp after singer, songwriter, and Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Ozzy Osbourne passed away at 76.

On Tuesday, Ozzy Osbourne’s family took to the timeline with heartbreaking news, Ozzy had died.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

 

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Osbourne and his wife Sharon joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club in February 2022, picking up Bored Ape #9939 shortly after the Prince of Darkness launched his CryptoBatz NFT project, an homage to his infamous 1982 on stage moment when he bit the head off a bat.

“. @MrsSOsbourne and I just picked up this Bored Ape," he tweeted. "Tomorrow at 4pm ET, Sharon will be biting the Bored Ape with her @CryptoBatzNFT to create a MutanBat live on Twitter Spaces!”

 

After news of his passing broke, Apes and the Web3 world paid tribute to Ozzy, thanking him for the memories, the music, and his mark on Web3.
