Ribbit. Ribbit. Ribbit.

After starting out as a memecoin tadpole in the Solana trenches, the Fwogs will soon be croaking around the swamp.

On Friday, Yuga Labs Art Producer Wut announced that his personal project, Fwogs, will be making its way to the metaverse soon.

“Fwogs coming to the @OthersideMeta,” Wut tweeted along with a 22 second teaser trailer showcasing the collections 3D avatars!

Following the news, Fwog holders took to the timeline, saying that they’re excited to continue leapfrogging from Solana to Ethereum and soon into the ApeChain powered metaverse.

“Fwogs will prove in time that they are the ultimate nft collection,” Lyx tweeted. “The best, cutest, highest quality and most refreshing art in the space.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previusly reported, the Fwogs was a free NFT mint for those who aped into Wut’s Blindbox sale on Phygital last month. Collectors who bought six or 12 boxes received one or two free mints, and anyone who bought a single box was entered into an allowlist raffle.

From there, the project minted, revealed, and everyone loved the fact that it was filled with pop culture references, winks to crypto culture, and nods to the world’s two most famous frogs, Pepe and Kermit.

Wut also launched the project’s very own TokenWorks Strategy coin, $FWOGSTR, on Eth, Like all NFT Strategy coins, this $FWOGSTR has a 10% tax but also comes with a twist. Instead of just sweeping the Fwog NFT floor the coin will also buy back the original $Fwog memecoin on Solana.

At the time of writing, it’s still unclear when Fwogs will officially make their way to the Otherside.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Fwogs and  will let you know when the make their way to the swamp. Stay tuned for updates.
