ROCK 'EM SOCK 'EM SPECULATION: Mintotaurs Are Wondering What "6.7" Means After Today’s Tweet!

The Mintotaurs have a lot to mull over this weekend after the project tweeted a Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots inspired image featuring two Mintotaurs trading blows, complete with a mysterious “6.7” scrawled on a skull!

Are you not entertained? On Saturday, Mintotaurs Founder James Hall posted a nostalgic nod to the childhood classic Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. But instead of clankers, the game featured two mighty Mintotaurs and possibly a hint of alpha about the project’s highly anticipated Colosseum, hidden in plain sight.

After the post, astute $Apes took to the timeline to point out the “6.7” printed on the skull in the bottom right.

Something’s brewing on ApeChain… ,” Gobs777 tweted after today’s post. “Two kids. Two Minotaurs. A skull marked “6.7” — A hidden launch date? Or just a cursed countdown? One of them’s got that Gobs-green skin. And those circuit patterns? Screaming smart contracts. In this world, nothing is ever random. So… what’s really going down on 6.7?”

At this time, nothing about “6.7” has been confirmed, and any connection between it being a date or countdown clock for the Mintotaurs’ Colosseum is purely speculative, but it tracks.

While we wait for more information on what “6.7” means for Grimhold and beyond, we do know that Hall is working on a Colosseum based game or experience featuring the Mintotaurs.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported,  the Colosseum was first revealed on April 29th.

“Arak spoke low. "We ready the Colosseum. Not for games. For war." Torak grunted. "Steel, not songs." The albino mage only nodded, frost mist curling between his horns They would not wait. Not for bells. Not for warnings. Before the Depths stirred— they would hone themselves the old way: Horn against horn. Strength against strength. The winds howled over the cliffs. The gates of Thar-Gann loomed ahead. The trials would begin soon. And this time, the mountain would shake with the clash of horn and fury.”

Days after that post, Blever Co-Founder Cos and Hall both shared screenshots of what appears to be a points based battle game where Mintotaurs’ wins and losses are tallied.

Alongside these updates, Mintotaurs enthusiast and Space Host Dutchee shared a screenshot from the Colosseum showing five different stat lines that likely determine how each beast performs in battle.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Mintotaurs Colosseum and will let you know when more information about “6.7” is revealed. Stay tuned for updates!
