Season 4 Of HV-MTL Forge Begins Tomorrow& The Rift Opens On Sept. 7. Here's What You Need To Know:
The Bored Ape Yacht Club is leaving the sludgy swamp of HV-MTL season three and forging towards the opening of the rift and the next phase of Yuga Labs’ HV-MTL game.
On Thursday, season three of the HV-MTL Forge will end and season four of the game will begin.
While we do not know what the theme of HV-MTL season four will be, we do know that the new season of the game begins tomorrow and the ‘Rift’ will open one week into season four on September 7th.
“Season 4 starts tomorrow, and the rift will open 1 week in,” Yuga Labs’ Social Lead Ngbshpend tweeted earlier today. “We’ll get details and videos on the rift before the 7th.”
Along with Ngbshpend explainer post that season four starts tomrrow even though the Rift does not open until September 7th, the BAYC also announced a slight change to the upcoming HV-MTL Forge Season Schedule.
“Listen up HVs, there will be a shift in the length of seasons 4 and 5 of Forge,” the BAYC tweeted. Season 4 will last for 4 weeks, while season 5 will last for 2. Season 6 will remain 3 weeks long.”
This means that season four starts tomorrow and will end on September 28th, Season 5 will now end on October 12th , and season 6 will still end on November 2nd, the day before Ape Fest 2023 begins.
While the BAYC has not given us much information about what happens after the Rift opens, the club did tell the community what they should leading up to the Rift opening.
In the BAYC’s Rift infographic, the club explained that HV-MTL Holders and their mechs should continue to ‘build up energy’ and ‘build out tiles’ until they see the Rift portal in their Forge. This exrtra energy will give players access into the Rift and additional lHV-MTL upgrades.
HV-MTL Holders and their Mechs will want to make their way through the Rift so they can compete in the ‘raid boss battle’ and earn $Ape rewards!
While we do not know a lot about what awaits HV-MTL Holders beyond the Forge, we do know that the meta of the game will change from a ‘pet game and casual world builder’ to a ‘competitive dungeon crawler’ that features some combat eventually.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow all things HV-MTL. Stay tuned for updates!
