SEASON OF THE WIZARD: Zards Is Bringing Years Of Lore, Traits, And Magic Together In A New ApeChain Game!

Forget the season of the witch! This October will be all about the wizards on ApeChain as one of the ecosystem’s oldest projects gets ready to launch an all new game that will bring together years of lore, traits, and onchain magic in one place!

Later this month, the Zards are set to release Zards Battles, a new game that will pit pixelated wizard against pixelated wizard as players cast spells, use items, and battle their fellow collectors across the project’s wizarding world.

While details about the gameplay of Zards Battles is still under wraps, the project's founder Seb Brook has already revealed that players will be able to choose their Zard, select a location, equip spells, and use potions and items before heading into battle.

From the lore books he has written over the years to the project's wizarding school, where collectors could stake their NFTs and boost their rarity, Brook has built out this magical universe since 2024, and for longtime collectors this game will bring everything together!

 

“We wanted to build a game that brings together Zards® holders, as well as all of your Zards® traits and our project lore,” he said. “Coming this October, you'll be able to battle with fellow Zards®, use magic spells, items & more. You can even choose a location from our lore Map, and explore the region using your keyboard or a controller.”

Brook also said that the game will remain firmly rooted on ApeChain, combing Zards Battles with the magic of blockchain.

“As Zards® is an ApeChain collection, we were adamant that Zards® Battles remains firmly rooted on the chain, and really celebrate everything that's been built so far, with a massive springboard for what's still to come,” he said. “We believe it will be a game that folks on other chains will want to check out - as well as being a signal for those who want to get started with an OG ApeChain project that has a bunch of utility out of the box.”
