SOMETHING'S SPREADING: A Second Viral Otherside Experience Called Outbreak Is Coming To The Swamp This August!

GOD bless you! Break out your masks and cover your nose, because a new contagion is coming to the Otherside later this year and it might just go viral!

Flu season is headed for the swamp after Yuga Labs announced plans to launch its second always on Otherside experience, dubbed Outbreak, this August and it looks infectiously fun.

 

“August brings us the launch of our second persistent experience Otherside Outbreak,” the company tweeted as part of its Otherside update yesterday. “The Experience will stay live for a few weeks, stress testing our live ops systems, and validating multiple concurrent experiences running ahead of the persistent state release. This activation continues accumulating Voyager XP.”

 

 

After yesterday’s Outbreak announcement, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took the stage at this week’s Meet Me at the Clubhouse space this morning  to talk more about the game.

“it’s basically a zombie infection game,” Garga said. “Basically one guy’s got the plague and he’s got to chase everybody down and get them infected. Then at the end of the round, it’s a timed match, either the survivors win or the infected win. Its pretty fun! There’s a lot of little boost and things hidden around the map to trick people. You can create decoys, you can speed up, the map is beautiful, there’s also some story behind the map that we are excited to share too. I’m just excited to get people in.”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Garga first teased this second persistent Otherside experience earlier this month in the Otherside Discord.

“The internal placeholder name when we were first coming up with it was "zombie tag" lol,” Garga said on June 5th.
