SOMETHING STICKER: The Bored Ape Yacht Club Is Doing A Members Only Telegram Sticker Drop This Wednesday. Here’s How You Can Ape In!

The swamp will be getting sticky soon as the Bored Ape Yacht Club gets ready to drop an edition sticker collection exclusively for Apes and Mutants,  but you’ll need to sign up by tomorrow at 11:59 P.M. EST!

It’s sticker season at the BAYC! On Monday, the club took to the timeline and announced a new $2 USD Telegram sticker pack that’s exclusively for club members, dropping this Wednesday.

“The Ape Edition sticker pack for BAYC members drops Wednesday, Oct 15th,” the club tweeted. “How to qualify: 1. Join The Hangout via token gated access in https://t.me/TheDockBAYC 2. Register via @stickers_tgby opening the app at least one time on Telegram. 3. Have your TON wallet ready with 1 TON. (1 pack per user) Cutoff to qualify is Oct 14, 11:59pm EST.”

 

 

 

“Fun little telegram sticker pack, only for BAYC and MAYC,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted. “Just need to verify with http://collab.land to join the members-only hangout in Telegram and load up a wallet with 1 TON ($2) to claim. As always: only use delegated wallets, keep your stuff safe.”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC opened its new Apes only Telegram chat, The Hangout, earlier this month. You can join it here: https://t.me/OfficialBAYC/127

 

 

Once on Telegram, Apes will be directed to The Dock, where they’ll be prompted to join The Hangout and verify their Ape via Telegram’s token gated Hubz app.

Note, Hubz recognizes delegated wallets, so you don’t need to connect the wallet that holds your Ape. For more information on safely joining this group, check out BAYC member and Boring Security contributor Drew’s thread below.

 

Once in the club’s channel, you’ll need to register for Wednesday’s drop via Sticker TG. To do this, go to today’s announcement in the main Telegram channel, click the “@sticker_Bot” username, and open the store and look around.

 

Finally, make sure to set up a TON Wallet inside your Telegram app. To do this, go to Settings and Wallet, then select either Add New or Existing Wallet, and then either buy some of Telegram’s native token $TON for the sticker drop or send yourself some coins.

Remember, to qualify for Wednesday’s drop, you need to join the club’s members only channel, register with the Sticker Bot, and set up your wallet before Tuesday, October 14th at 11:59 P.M. EST.

While all this might seem like a lot, Garga said it’s the only way to ensure that only Apes are able to ape into this activation. He also reminded everyone again to use Collab Land and never connect their cold wallets holding their primates to anything!

 

"The way this has been done by other projects on TG is super easy to get around unfortunately,” he wrote. “People just ain’t been that motivated to do it before. If we do it the old way, will be botted and ruins a lot of the appeal of this being ape-only. As usual, we have to invent new ways of doing things because people want to participate in our activations much more than what’s come before. Shout out to collab land who are being incredible partners so we can do this right.”
