SOMETHING SWEET IS COMING SOON: Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz Teases A “Huge Activation” In The Candy Space Coming In The Next Month And A Half!

Pudgy Penguins may have just gotten its first taste of the candy aisle with PEZ, but according to CEO Luca Netz, the fat flightless birds have another sweet activation in the works!

On Thursday, Netz went live on Whatnot to rip Vibes TCG packs and give away Pudgy Penguins PEZ dispensers.

While showing off the huddle’s collaboration with the iconic candy brand, Netz opened up about why partnering with the 99 year old company was such an important milestone for Pudgy Penguins and gave the huddle a taste of what’s to come.

“Pez is so iconic, it kind of felt like a badge every IP needs under its belt,” Netz said. “We chased it cause it’s so iconic. I always thought we could be in consumables….the candy space is so big, and we have a huge activation in this space in the next month in a half.”

As the Gazette previously reported, Pudgy Penguins have had quite the sweet tooth for the candy space for a while.

Pudgy Penguins first partnered with PEZ in 2025, reimagining the brand’s mascot, Pax Pengu, as a collectible candy dispenser!

 

Then earlier this year, Pudgy Penguins announced an even larger scale partnership with IT’SUGAR, that will bring crypto’s cutest penguins nationwide to the candy retailer’s 100 plus locations.

"This partnership represents a natural evolution for Pudgy Penguins as we continue to expand into categories that bring the brand to life in tangible, tasty new ways," Pudgy Penguins  Partnership Head Steve Starobinsky said in a press release in May 2026. "IT'SUGAR's approach to retail and experience makes them an ideal partner to translate our sweet universe into a yummy treat."

What exactly Pudgy Penguins has cooking in the candy space remains to be seen. But whatever it is, it will surely be sweet!
