SOMETHING TO GEEZ ABOUT: Geez On Ape Team Teases Soulbound BAYC Project Powered By Yuga Labs' Shadow Tech. But First, It Needs A Name!

Something soulbound is coming to ApeChain and it involves Bored Ape Yacht Club members and their Shadows. But first, it needs a name!

The ApeChain world has something to Geez about this evening after Geez On Ape founders Rida, Allo, and Xeer took to the timeline to tease a soulbound BAYC x Geez project powered by Yuga Labs’ Shadow tech.

 

“We’re launching a BAYC x Geez soulbound, non-tradeable project powered by Shadow Tech,” the trio tweeted.”And it won’t impact the total supply of the @GeezOnApe collection. What should we call them? Comment below: GeeShadows (or)  OGeez.”

 

 

Note: this is not an open call for name suggestions. Rida and the team are looking for Apes, Geez holders, and others to vote between two options: GeeShadows or OGeez.

“Apes don’t read. Geez don’t read. TWO CHOICES MFERS,” Rida tweeted.

While it’s still unclear exactly what the Geez On Ape team is building, we do know that by using Yuga Labs’ Shadow tech, they’ll be able to reward BAYC members with a soulbound project on ApeChain!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs' Shadow tech creates soulbound versions of NFTs from Ethereum mainnet that can be recognized and used on Layer-2 networks like ApeChain. This unlocks new utilities for holders, including rewards, exclusive mints, and more.

 

As of late April, Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Kodas, and Bored Ape Kennel Club Doggos all had their Shadows live on ApeChain.

 

 

While we wait for more details on the BAYC x Geez collab, NFT holders can get ready by locating their ApeChain Shadows tonight. You can find them in the same wallet as your original Ethereum NFTs (on ApeChain), or delegate access to a separate hot wallet using Delegate.xyz.
