"STILL PLANNING FOR JULY": Yuga Labs CEO Garga Says The First Phase Of The Always On Otherside Rollout Is Still Slated For Later This Month!

The web3 world will be shrinking down and bubbling up on the Otherside soon after Yuga Labs CEO Garga confirmed that the first phase of the always on Otherside rollout is still planned for later this month!

The next two weeks will be anything but boring around the swamp and ApeChain ecosystem, after Garga announced that community members will be running around the restroom in Bathroom Blitz and popping into Bubble Spaces on Otherside before the end of the month.

 “Blitz + Bubbles still planning for July, dates soon,” he said yesterday during his weekly Discord Q&A.

 

 

While we don’t know the exact launch dates yet, we do know that Bathroom Blitz will be an 8v8 team deathmatch style game where players shrink down and battle inside the BAYC Clubhouse bathroom.

“You are the size of a toy soldier and you’re in the BAYC’s bathroom,” Garga said in March . "There is shit everywhere and you got a sniper rifle. You can pick up an AK-47, you can grapple up on the walls. It’s a small team Shooter. Its fun and kind of an homage to the days of counterstrike, kitchen rats game, and other toy solider mods that have come out for different shooters over the years. Whenever we test it internally or with your team its always a  ton of fun.”

 

 

Heading into the bathroom won’t be the only thing the community will be doing on Otherside this month, they'll also be invited to attend a BAYC Meet at the Clubhouse Space on Otherside inside a literal Bubble!

“July’s Meet Me at the Clubhouse will be in the newly upgraded Bubbles experience,” Yuga Labs tweeted last month. “Integrated community feedback from previous versions: >Improved capacity from 100 people to 500 people in a single Bubble. >Deeplink integration, allowing Bubbles to be streamed to external platforms and users to join directly via link.”
