TAKE ME OUT TO THE METAVERSE: ImprobableIo And MLB Invite You To Attend A Ballgame At Their Virtual Ballpark Tomorrow Night!

Break out the peanuts and crackerjacks because Yuga Labs’ Otherside partner, ImprobableIo, is taking Web3 out to another ballgame in the metaverse tomorrow night—and you’re invited!

NFT enthusiasts, baseball fans, and tech lovers from around the world are invited to ape into the M²-powered metaverse and attend the Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals game live from ImprobableIO’s Virtual Ballpark!

“MLB is hosting a watch party in the Virtual Ballpark every Wednesday in September,” the MLB wrote on its website. “These virtual events are free to participate in and require only an MLB account to join. Watch parties will feature the live broadcast, MLB’s Gameday 3D, and interactive, social experiences with the opportunity to earn points.The next watch party will take place at 6:35pm CST / 7:35pm EST on Wednesday September 11th, featuring the Cincinnati Reds @ the St. Louis Cardinals”

 

Tomorrow’s event will be Improbable and the MLB’s latest metaverse event, streamed live from their Virtual Ballpark, which runs on the same technology that will eventually power Otherside.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the community first got a chance to check out this stadium during last year’s All-Star break in July 2023. Since then, fans have returned to the ballpark numerous times.

“This is a huge leap in tech from MLB and our virtual ballpark collab,” Improbable CEO Herman Narula tweeted in September 2023 “For folks that missed a key point: it’s not only that the game is streamed in it’s also that thousands of people around the world could if they want all be present in that space. For a lot of people that’s a type of magical social experience you just can’t easily have irl and certainly it can bring fans together who might never otherwise meet… it’s a first step but an exciting one.”
