TALKING TREASURE: ApeCoin CEO Cameron Kates Hints At A Public Treasury Company And Says He “Needs More” Apes And ApeCoin!

Talk of an ApeCoin and Bored Ape Yacht Club Public Treasury company continued on the timeline Monday after ApeCoin CEO Cameron Kates tweeted that he does “not have enough apes or ApeCoin” and that he “needs more.”

From tweets about institutions that will “snatch every damn ape they can get their hands on” and “Not enough Fucking Apes” last night, to parsing words about whether he “treasures their company” at Yuga Labs or they are a “treasured company,” Kates had the community going insane on Mutant Monday with winks and nods toward the possibility of a Public Treasury company centered around ApeCoin and the BAYC.

“Spent the day workshopping with @CryptoGarga, @mfigge, @_PPMan_ Dunno if I treasure their company, or they are treasured company,” he tweeted. “Either way, I do not have enough apes or ApeCoin. Need more.”

 

 

As of tonight, nothing about a Bored Ape and ApeCoin Public Treasury company is confirmed, but we do know that Yuga Labs CEO Garga has publicly supported the idea.

“Personally, would love to see an $APE treasury company,” he tweeted on July 11. “Bonus points if it also buys and holds Bored Ape NFTs Should we make it happen?”

 

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the idea of Public Treasury companies was popularized by Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy and has become a hot topic in both the swamp and the broader crypto world,  especially as Bitcoin and Ethereum trade just shy of their all-time highs. Thanks to the rise of these companies, big banks, hedge funds, and accredited investors are ape-ing into crypto like never before, since Public Treasury companies offer traditional investors a new way to gain exposure to crypto!

Again, nothing about an $Ape Public Treasury company is confirmed  and as far as this paper knows, the idea remains just that, an idea! But one thing is clear BAYC members want to see it happen and many longtime mebers may be in the market for Apes!
