The Apes Vs. Punks Charity Competition Raised $55,900 USD For The Kids!

The Apes Vs. Punks charity competition came to an end today and the big winner was the kids at the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis Indiana!

Apes Vs. Punks Charity Competition founder, Ap3father took to Twitter today and revealed that the contest brought in $55,900 USD for the kids!

After the competition ended, Ap3Father told the Bored Ape Gazette that he was blown away by the NFT communities’ generosity.

“I am speechless,” Ap3father said. “I cried probably 3 times this morning. I never imagined we would be this successful in our first ever philanthropic endeavor. The larger crypto community just showed their true colors & the rest of the world should take notice.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported Ap3father was inspired to set up the Apes Vs Punks charity competition after he saw a tweet from Ethereum’s Founder Vitalik Buterin about apes not helping the world.

“I’m a doctoral student for physiotherapy full time & I love working in pediatrics,” Ap3Father told the Bored Ape Gazette. “My university is very close with Riley hospital, and I’ve been able to see first-hand how much they can change a child’s life. When I started to mature in web3, I started to realize all the good we could do with the lowered global barriers of transacting money. Vitalik's tweet about 'the apes not doing enough public good' hit home with me. And I think web3 as a whole could spend more time focused on progressing the public good.”

Going forward, Ap3father told the Bored Ape Gazette that he wants to create a nonprofit arm of either the ApeCoin DAO or any other crypto community that is looking to do some good!
