Sotheby’s Bored Ape auction ends this Thursday and the club is hosting a post auction after party in Decentraland.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club will be hosting an Auction After Party With Music By Spottie Wifi, according to the club’s official Twitter. The Event will take place at the BAYC River Boat in the Decentraland Metaverse from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. UTC time; which is 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
“Come on down to the BAYC's Riverboat and celebrate the end of Sotheby's epic "Ape In" auction,” the BAYC wrote on their Dencentraland events page. “Hang with fellow apes, play blackjack and roulette, and listen to jams by the one and only Spottie Wifi (twitter.com/SpottieWifi).”
Not only will this event be a celebration of the BAYC’s Sotheby’s auction, but it will also be the first time that Spottie Wifi has performed live in the Metaverse.
“It will be a historic event celebrating the BAYC auction at Sotheby's, and I'm honored that the BAYC team would invite me to perform on such an occasion,” Spottie told the Bored Ape Gazette. “It will be my first concert ever, so you already know I'm gonna send it up!”
Apes are primed to “send it up” and celebrate with Spottie as the Sotheby’s auction has already exceeded the auction house’s price expectations. At the time of this articles publication, the current bid is 19 million USD or $188,118.81 USD per bored ape.
