The BAYC Released New Information On Tomorrow's Mutant Ape Yacht Club Drop. What We Know So Far:

The Bored Ape Yacht Club has released new information regarding tomorrows Mutant Ape Yacht Club Drop.

“MAYC TOMORROW 8/28/21,” The BAYC tweeted early Friday evening. “Snapshot at 4pm ET of all Bored Apes (NOTE: No benefit to dispersing apes around to multiple wallets!) 5pm ET - Airdrop of Mutant Serums (random distribution generated via Chainlink VRF) Launch at 6pm ET.”

This is the first time that the BAYC has referred to the airdrop as “Mutant Serums.” This verbiage may mean that your ape will need to ingest the serum in order to start the mutation.

While it is still unknown what happens after bored apes receive their mutant serums, the BAYC founders been working around the clock on the MAYC for quite some time.

“THE MUTANT APE “BREEDING” is being worked on almost full-time by some of our team, BAYC Founder Gargamel posted in the group Discord on May 25th. “We’re still about 1/3rd done though we’re picking up speed now with the BAKC collection out. We’re putting everything we have into this.”

Based on Gargamel’s past comments regarding the MAYC, it is likely that mutants will be insane!

Today’ mutant announcement not only hyped the community and teased the mutant serums, but also answered some basic mechanical questions regarding the airdrop.

BAYC members and non-members alike will have until the 4 p.m. EST deadline tomorrow to purchase an ape and still receive the Mutant Serum air drop and reap the benefits of the MAYC. The BAYC’s announcement also confirmed that there will be no added benefit to apes moving their apes to different wallets. Each ape will receive one serum.

The idea of mutant apes has been a part of the BAYC since the beginning. In fact, it’s one of the final points on the original roadmap.
