The Bored Ape Yacht Club Celebrated Its First Birthday By Teasing Its Upcoming Metaverse

The Bored Ape Yacht Club celebrated its first birthday today by teasing its upcoming metaverse.

“One year ago today, the Bored Ape Yacht Club mint began,” the BAYC tweeted this afternoon. “What an insane year. Here’s to many more to come. Happy Birthday, apes!”

To celebrate the momentous occasion, the BAYC shared new information about the club’s highly anticipated Otherside metaverse.

The adventure begins, the club tweeted from its new Twitter account @Othersidemeta. “Otherside. 4/30, 12pm ET. P.S. Otherside Discord is open: https://discord.gg/the-otherside”

After the announcement, apes and NFT enthusiast rushed to join the Otherside Discord. Within minutes, tens of thousands of people aped into the new channel crashing the Discord server.

While not much is known about the Otherside metaverse, Yuga Labs, the BAYC’s parent company, shared a 90 second teaser trailer on March 18, 2022.
