THE MOCA THE MERRIER: The Mocaverse Upped Its Delegation's ApeCoin DAO Voting Power To 3.5M Coins!

Mondays are for the Mocas as Animoca Brands’ NFT project, The Mocaverse, upped its voting power at the ApeCoin DAO to 3.5 million $Ape, making it the second largest voting group in the swamp!

In a nine-part Twitter thread this morning, the Mocaverse, an Animoca Brands membership NFT collection consisting of 8888 unique collectibles that includes Dreamers, Builders, Angels, Connectors, and Neo-Capitalists, announced that their delegation will be upping its voting power from 1.5 million to 3.5 million $Ape based on its community’s voter turnout and its commitment to building the open metaverse.

In their thread, the Mocaverse explained that the project’s four goals are to 1.decentralize Animoca Brands’ Governance rights to Mocaverse holders, 2. Be a significant but non-dominating voice, 3. Foster cross-community collaboration, and 4. Educate, inform & join forces to build a better web 3 future together.

“We continue to further our experiment with decentralizing votes and cross-community collaboration,” the Mocaverse tweeted. “Opinions may clash at times, but cross-community synergy is also at its peak. There’s never a shortage of controversies in #web3, but controversy sparks dialogue, and dialogue drives changes for the better. Changes that are crucial to advance the space as a whole.”

Following Mocaverse’s announcement, ApeCoin DAO contributor, MisterHype, who has had several of his AIPs get passed at the DAO , took to Twitter and congratulated the community on taking a larger role in the $Ape ecosystem.

“If the 1.5m delegation decision was a tough call, this was an impressive take,” MisterHype wrote. “It shows how @animocabrands commitment to APE ecosystem and willing to change the landscape based on reality. @EvanAuyang @spacemanks.”
