Are you not entertained? On Saturday, thousands of spectators gathered at the Coliseum to watch 16 Bored Ape Yacht Club members and 16 ApeChain NFT collections battle for on chain immortality as Minotaur blood spilled during the first ever Grand Games of the Coliseum!
After nearly three and a half hours of AI storytelling, shit talking, strategy, battle, and, of course, a bit of luck, the Geez and their founder, Rida, were the last half men, half beasts standing in the arena. The duo vanquished their foes and frens in the Coliseum’s first tournament, leaving many egos bruised and even more Mintotaurs hornless.
To carve their path to victory, the Geez defeated The Rillaz, Chumpz, Frostbyte, and Froglings. Meanwhile, Rida gave the thumbs down and smashed ApeChain’s Lost, BAYC member RFDZ, Bored N Hungry’s JBond, and Yuga Labs’ 0xQuit.
With their victories today, Rida and the Geez left the Coliseum with a wallet full of horns from their fallen enemies, the title of Coliseum Champions, and the knowledge that their triumph will live on not only in the memories of those who witnessed their dominance, but also forever etched into history books of ApeChain!

After the Geez and Rida’s victories, and once the dust of the Coliseum had settled, Mintotaurs and Gobs On Ape founder James Hall took to the timeline to congratulate the champions and thank everyone for fighting admirably.
“Thank you all so much for playing in my world,” he tweeted. “It was a great day. Speedbumps and all. Huge shout out to @DutcheeWasHERE and all the folks who hopped on to play. Feeling so great and exhausted.”
