The hype is real around the swamp! The Bored Ape Yacht Club just announced a new shoe drop with designer John Geiger that will be exclusively up for grabs at the club’s booth at ComplexCon later this month!

On Friday, the BAYC announced that its ComplexCon booth will be anything but boring as it premieres a new shoe made in collaboration with John Geiger, a leader in the custom sneaker space who’s worked with major brands like Nike, Adidas, and more!

“Too rare to drop online,” the club tweeted along with an animated photo of the shoe. “Bored Ape Yacht Club x @JohnGeiger_, only at @ComplexCon.”

Following the BAYC’s announcement, Geiger took to the timeline with a sneak peek of his own, giving Apes and sneakerheads alike a first look at the shoe’s tongue and soles, both featuring the club’s iconic skull logo.

As of tonight, we don’t know how many pairs will be made but we do know they’ll be very limited.  Also, Apes and public ComplexCon attendees will have the chance to win them in a “giant gumball machine,” accoridng to Yuga Labs CEO Garga.

"Stoked to partner with @JohnGeiger_ for these 004's. One way to get them: Show up to the BAYC booth at ComplexCon,” Garga tweeted. Super-limited supply Half will be won by club members Half won by public. It's sort of a raffle. we got a giant fucking gumball machine :).”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, ApeCoin is the official blockchain sponsor of ComplexCon in Las Vegas this year. With that, the BAYC, along with 20 Made By Apes brands, will be setting up shop and 1,250 Apes will be ape-ing in and attending the event!

Remember, BAYC members who claimed their ComplexCon tickets earlier this year will receive “Ape Premier tickets” to the two day event. Admission begins bright and early at 10 A.M. on Saturday and Sunday, and the club recommends everyone get there early!

“Ape Priemer access time for Apes is alpha. So pay attention to that” BaronVonHustle said during Meet at the Clubhouse last month. “be there, trust me.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the BAYC’s limited edition shoes with John Geiger and will let you know as more information about them and ComplexCon becomes available. Stay tuned for updates!
