VIVA LA PUNK: CryptoPunk #110 Made Her Debut At The Centre Pompidou In Paris Today
The art world got a little more punk today after the Centre Pompidou in Paris France debuted a CryptoPunk its museum!
“Salut, Les Punks,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its CryptoPunks account on Thursday. “@CentrePompidou is debuting their newly acquired NFTs, including CryptoPunk #110 in an exhibition within their permanent collection galleries up now. Don't worry, the show will be up until December see you soon.”
CryptoPunk #110 is a four-attribute dark female Punk with a dark mohawk, purple lipstick, an earring, and a cigarette. Based on these traits, CryptoPunk #110 is the 7779th most punk Punk, according to Rarity Tools.
“BIG day for ALL artists using blockchain as a medium for expression,” Yuga Labs’ CryptoPunks Lead Noah Davis tweeted this morning after CryptoPunk #110’s debut. “gm.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs first announced that CryptoPunk #110 was heading to the Centre Pompidou in February 2023 as part of the company’s Punks Legacy Project.
“As part of the ongoing Punks Legacy Project, we are honored to announce the donation of CryptoPunk #110 to the legendary permanent collection of @CentrePompidou,” Yuga Labs tweeted on February 10th . “Stay tuned for more details... See you in Paris!”
CryptoPunk #110 is the second Punk placed in a prestigious art museum because of the Punks Legacy Program. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs kicked off the program by placing CryptoPunk #305 in the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami in December 2022.
