No matter where NFTs are minted, prolific collector Adam Weitsman has that collector dog in him, so it’s only fitting that he made his way to the Dogecoin ecosystem!

On Friday, Weitsman officially aped into not only a new collection, but an entirely new blockchain when he picked up a pooch from Dogecoin’s Doginal Dogs!

“Excited to share I’ve finally joined the @doginaldogs community,” he tweeted. “10,000 dogs inscribed on Dogecoin, started as a free mint in 2024, and it’s grown into a a amazing community in the NFT space. Thank you @barkmeta@GodsBurnt and  @shieldmeta for the warm welcome and for helping me find the perfect dog !!! Happy to be part of the pack. Woof woof..”

For those unfamiliar with Doginals, Dogecoin has its own version of NFTs, similar to Bitcoin Ordinals.

These Dogecoin native NFTs are created by inscribing images onto individual shibes, the smallest denomination of DOGE, and can be traded on marketplaces like Doggy.Market.

Doginal Dogs originally launched on Dogecoin as a free mint in January 2024 and currently have a floor price of 19,100 DOGE, or $1,332 USD, according to Doggy.Market.

Following Weitsman’s tweet, Doginal Dogs founder Bark took to the timeline and welcomed him to the pack.

“Adam Weitsman joined the pack today. Shoutout to him," he tweeted. "One of the realest people in the entire industry. Iykyk. Moments like this are how you know the dogs are onto something. Welcome, Adam”

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman’s crosschain collecting and will keep you posted on the Doginals ecosystem. Stay tuned for updates!
