WORLD CHAMPION: Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Steph Curry Leads Team USA To Olympic Gold!
Bored Ape Yacht Club member and NBA superstar Steph Curry put on a performance in Paris this evening, leading Team USA to its fifth straight Olympic basketball gold medal!
Things were anything but boring around the swamp on Saturday as BAYC member Steph Curry scored 24 points, going 8-for-13 from beyond the arc, leading Team USA to a 98-87 victory over Team France.
“We just won a gold medal man,” Curry said in a Twitter video after the big game. “ I appreciate all the love. I appreciate all the support. Everybody who texted, everybody who posted. Everyone who tapped in and watch. USA all the way."
Following the game, BAYC members filled the timeline with posts congratulating Curry for putting on a historic performance that’s probably nothing!
“Gold Medal,” BAYC member Forbes tweeted. “ Chef Curry @StephenCurry30 a @BoredApeYC member went the fuck off again!! Congratulations team USA NEED ALL MY APES SHOW LOVE TO CHEF IN COMMENTS.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Steph Curry joined the BAYC on August 28, 2021, when he picked up Bored Ape #7990, a five-trait blue-fur ape with zombie eyes and a tweed suit. Shortly after ape-ing in, Curry took to the BAYC Discord to say gm.
Since joining the BAYC, Curry has also used an M2 Serum to create a mutant version of his Bored Ape, purchased a cheetah-fur Bored Ape Kennel Club dog, and claimed two Otherdeeds, according to OpenSea data.
Today, Curry still reps the BAYC in his Twitter Bio.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Curry’s basketball career and will keep you posted on what he does next. Stay tuned for updates!
