Yuga Labs Is Making Massive Prints Of TwelveFold Holders Pieces& Will Be Releasing A Puzzle Soon

Seven weeks after Yuga Labs’ TwelveFold collection was created, the artist behind the project shared a seven-tweet update on the 300-piece Bitcoin Ordinal collection.

Yuga Labs’ Chief Creative Officer and TwelveFold artist, Michael Figge, took to Twitter today and shared three big announcements with holders about their Bitcoin based art.

The first TwelveFold update that Figge gave to holders was that he and the Yuga Labs team have made a larger and higher resolution version of the TwelveFold pieces available to holders.

“The work was presented in a format that made sense for satoshi inscriptions," Figge tweeted. “Originals were 1,000 x 1,000 pixels. The work has since been updated to a 12,000 x 12,000 pixel format. 144K resolution. This version will be made accessible to TwelveFold collectors. To give you a sense of how much bigger that is. Here’s the original in the upper left corner of the updated version.

Further, Figge announced that Yuga Labs will be giving every TwelveFold collector a massive print out of their piece.

“The team at Yuga have them in production for you,” Figge wrote. “We’re dialing in the framing prototypes now. You'll be able to see every detail. They're big (1.2m x 1.2m) -- These will be delivered via white glove delivery service at no extra charge to collectors. Will be in touch soon to coordinate.”

The final announcement that Figge made today was more of a tease. “And then, yes, a puzzle,” figge tweeted. “That’s next.”

This is the second time that Figge and Yuga Labs have referenced a TwelveFold puzzle. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Figge first mentioned a puzzle on March 17th in a 12-part thread.

“We plan on reinvesting a portion of the proceeds from the sale to continue exploring on the Bitcoin Blockchain,” Figge tweeted at the time. “That’s all for now. More info in April. And later, a puzzle.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Figge and Yuga Labs sold 288 of their 300 TwelveFold generative art pieces on March 6th,2023 for 735 BTC or $16.5 million USD.

“TwelveFold is a base 12 art system localized around a 12x12 grid,” Figge tweeted on March 5th. “The collection of 300 inscriptions is made up of 25 different series of 12, each with their own motif. Each series maintains a theme spread across 12 unique pieces. Like crypto, the collection isn't so much linear but cyclical, with four different color palettes progressing throughout: winter, spring, summer, autumn. It's a nod to being optimistic whether we're in a Crypto Winter or a Defi Summer. Every TwelveFold piece will be inscribed onto a satoshi with a satpoint ending in the number 12, and the ‘postage’ associated with each inscription will be 12121.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Figge and the TwelveFold project. Stay tuned for updates!
