Some collectors shop for traits, others choose works that resonate with them, and some collect simply for the love of the game. But longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member Guccheetah is making moves with museums in mind because, as he says, “This is how I collect.” Earlier this week, Guccheetah added another Ape to his collection, Bored Ape #1992, a six trait primate with a Sea Captain’s hat, a jovial smile, and a whole lot of cultural provenance.
