Three is a magic number, but 3.5 is even better!
On Wednesday, the Del Mundos’ Silver Spoon auction of 100 “3” silver pendants, each inspired by their mascot Ray Del Mundo’s iconic JewelleRay chain, raised 3.5 ETH, or about $7,250 USD, for people powered positivity, proving this quirky onchain community is serious about doing good.
“Well …That was a success,” the project tweeted. “Edition 001 - Auction complete. 3.5 Eth (and rising) Raised for the Climeta treasury. Big thanks again to those who took part. This was our proof of concept, and we delivered.”
With this, 90% of the 3.5 ETH raised, and counting, will be directed toward the project’s new Clim3ta protocol, where every Del Mundo holder will get the chance to vote on how the funds are used to support real world causes.
“Del Mundo is shaping up to be one of the most promising projects of 2026,” community member and NFT collector Shariq tweeted. “From a 10k free mint NFT backed by 4 years of craftsmanship to auctioned silver pendants crafted from real silver spoons, every detail tells a story. Slowly but surely, the vision is unfolding.”
As the Gazette previously reported, the Del Mundos recently launched 3ditions, an onchain auction platform that feeds directly into Clim3ta, a governance protocol where holders decide how to allocate funds to help protect the natural world, creating a flywheel of creativity, community, and real world impact.
