Every Bored Ape Yacht Club member’s ApeChain wallet got a little $BORED last night after the Ape Express-created memecoin $Bored airdropped tokens to all 10,000 Apes!

Just five days after ApeChain launched, BAYC members received their first airdrop, courtesy of $Bored on ApeChain.

"Check your wallets,” the token tweeted on Wednesday.  “Every current holder of the @BoredApeYC has just received between 1000 and 2000 $BORED. Ok it's like $16 - $32 here but we're just getting started. Maybe we 50x from here? Shall we on board Mutants next or @Meta_Winners?”

 

 

“We decided to airdrop $Bored to every BAYC member because, at its core, this coin is about celebrating the BAYC community,” the token’s Founder and MetaWin creator SKEL told the Gazette. “We wanted to give something back to the apes who’ve been a cornerstone of the web3 space, and what better way to do that than by giving them ownership in a project that directly aligns with the culture and spirit of BAYC.”

 

At the time of this article’s publication, $BORED is the largest memecoin on ApeChain, with a market cap of $16.8 million. SKEL believes this is just the beginning and is excited to have invited every BAYC member on this journey with him.

“Being the first coin on ApeChain to airdrop to apes,  feels amazing,” SKEL said. “There’s a lot of excitement around ApeChain, and being part of that early wave is a thrill. We believe in the potential of this chain, and we want to contribute to its success by engaging the community. We have plans to list soon on the major exchanges and this will bring more volume and attention to the chain. We hope there are multiple successful projects on the chain we’re all so early!”
