A NAUTICAL NORMIE: OpenSea Adds A Normie To Its Flagship Collection!

Normies are going nautical after OpenSea officially added one of the pixelated people to its growing Flagship Collection!

On Tuesday, the NFT marketplace expanded its digital treasure chest once again, welcoming a Normie aboard.

“The inclusion of Normie 1459 in our Flagship Collection recognizes a project that pushes the limits of what fully on-chain art can be,” OpenSea tweeted. “1,600-pixel identities packed into 200 bytes of contract storage, a CC0 ecosystem any builder can extend, and a collection now evolving from pixels on a contract into on-chain agents that travel with their tokens. Welcome home, Normies 1459.”

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, OpenSea announced on September 8, 2025 that it was putting together a $1 million “OpenSea Flagship Collection,” that’s mission is to acquire, curate, and celebrate digital art and culture.

 

 

 

Since then, the marketplace has collected a CryptoPunk, a Bored Ape, a Pudgy Penguin, a Regular Animal by Beeple, a Mask of Luci, a Squiggle, an Azuki, a Quirkies, a VeeFriends, a Moonbird, a Chimper, a Meebit, and more!

 

 

“What a moment,” Nomrie’s Founder Serc tweeted after OpenSea’s acquisition. “I really appreciate you guys, this is such an honor for us, Normies entering Opensea Flagship collection.”

While Normies may be one of the newer projects in OpenSea’s Flagship Collection, its impact on the NFT landscape has already been undeniable!

Since minting back in February, this collection of pixelated people by Serc has taken over the timeline with its unique burn-and-customize mechanic, which allows holders to change pixels on one Normie by burning another, gradually reducing the collection’s total supply and leading to some amazing 1/1 Normies!
