On Wednesday, Clutch Markets and Mancer officially launched Books, an all new financial primitive on Robinhood Chain that invites traders to tokenize their portfolios and lets anyone back their trading strategies!
As the Gazette previously reported, With Books, anyone from your favorite crypto caller to you or me can launch a token, inviting traders and speculators from across the space to ape in and potentially share in the rewards of the book makers trading skills!
Instead of copying a KOL's every move, Book holders can gain exposure to a trader's performance while that trader manages an underlying vault, buying, selling, and rotating between assets throughout a predetermined trading period.
“The idea here is social capital markets,” 0xsimpleFarmer said. “Essentially for users who maybe excellent traders, but don’t have much liquidity, they can go and make a book and have liquidity to trade Robinhood tokens with.”
With Books Clutch Markets and Mancer hope to flip the script on social trading!
Currently on platforms like Pump.fun and Fomo, key opinion leaders build followings by calling out coins or sharing trading thesese , encouraging their audiences to ape in behind them. But this doesnt alighn the caller and their followers. In fact most of the time the caller makes money and their follower loses everything.
But that changes with Books.
“The difference here, with social capital markets, this isn’t going to be rewarding the loudest people or best marketers. This will reward the best traders and you’ll be able to see that traders history over time,” SimpleFarmer said. “The whole process is about tokenization This is about tokenizing traders. This is about bringing back the trenches in a direction where the best traders are rewarded. I think with that idea in mind the majority of liquidity will flow back to the stronger tokens which I think is a much better.”
Tonight, anyone and everyone around the Stonk Exchange and beyond can open a Book of their own, choose from supported launch pairs including Ethereum, STONKBROKER, MANCER, PONS, CASHCAT and HOOKR, and set their own terms for how long their Book will run, how much capital they hope to raise and which assets they plan to trade!
At the same time, traders and speculators from across the space can back someone else's Book, potentially sharing in the gains generated by that trader's strategy.
