AIP-196 Author BadTeeth Is Looking For $Apes To Join Working Group Zero. Find Out More:
As the ApeCoin DAO votes on Ape Improvement Proposal-196, the proposal’s author, Badteeth, took to the community Discourse channel with a “call for contributors.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, AIP-196 titled “BORED AIP: Bringing Order and Reliability via Ecosystem Decentralization,” is currently on the ballot at the ApeCoin DAO. This AIP is designed to provide a plan for the next two months and help push the DAO towards a decentralized future, according to its authors.
“The expiration of the APE Foundation’s administrator contract for the second time in 2022 has magnified the need to develop internal capabilities and avoid reliance on any external resource that could result in a single point of failure in the DAO,” AIP-196’s lead author Badteeth wrote. “This AIP represents progress over perfection – the only thing possible in this messy and amazing world of decentralized governance we love.”
At the time of this article’s publication, AIP-196 is supported by 67.45% of $Ape voters.
With AIP-196 looking like it will be approved by the ApeCoin DAO, Badteeth took to the community Discourse page and has invited $Ape holders to join Working Group Zero; assuming they meet the criteria.
“AIP-196 will create an interim working group, tentatively named Working Group Zero (WG0), with a conceptual mandate of operationalizing the DAO, empowering and rewarding community members for domain expertise and work on DAO operations, while taking further steps towards decentralizing the DAO in order to eliminate single points of failure in core DAO operations, Badteeth wrote.
In order to be eligible to join Working Group Zero, $Ape holders must meet one of the following criteria:
$Ape holders who are interested in joining Working Group Zero must reach out to Badteeth via Discourse and send him their ETH address.
Along with the creation of Working Group Zero, Badteeth is also looking for DAO contributors who are interested in taking up a leadership role in the working group process.
These Stewards will be responsible for “1. Administrative oversight 2. Budgeting based on the needs of WG0 as approved by the Special Council 3. Reporting on all WG0 activities between the Special Council, the Administrators, and the Community.”
