AIP-64 "APE Coin Festival - Bringing NFT Communities Together" Passed At The ApeCoin DAO.

Ape Improvement Proposal -64 passed at the Apecoin DAO Wednesday night with near unanimous approval.

AIP 64 titled “APE Coin Festival - Bringing NFT Communities Together was a brand decision AIP that was written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member HopiumLabs.

The purpose of this proposal was to determine whether the community believed that the idea of an ApeCoin conference was feasible and a good decision for the DAO. This proposal was NOT pitching or planning an event, according to the AIP.

After the weeklong vote, the $Ape community voted in favor of the proposal with 416,000 $Ape votes in favor and 6,300 $Ape votes against.

Following the approval of AIP-64, HopiumLabs told the Bored Ape Gazette he is happy to see the AIP pass and that he is looking forward to the future!

“Thrilled to see my humble AIP-64 proposal pass with almost a 99% yes vote,” HopiumLabs said. “Now the hard work of reaching out to hundreds of sponsors, organizers and NFT project owners that were present at NFT-NYC begins. As a reminder, the goal of AIP-64 is to collect, collate and aggregate ideas and opinions in order to determine what kinds of events the ApeCoinDAO should pursue.Over the next 6-8 weeks of outreach, dms, cold-calls, tweets and incessant Discord posts, I'm hopeful we'll be able to get a better picture of what IRL events are worth proposing, voting on and funding in addition to digging deeper into the concept of setting up an Events Support Dept. Quick shout out of thanks to the ApeCoin community, the Board and most importantly, the folks doing the thankless tasks behind the scenes managing these proposals.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow HopiumLabs and will let you know when more information on an Ape Coin Festival is available.
