Bored Ape Kennel Club dogs were not happy but are ready for action after their primates followed the mysterious Mechs through a rift in the space-time and into the unknown beyond the swamp.
On Wednesday, the Bored Ape Yacht Club released the third issue of its animated comic series, which left many Apes with more questions than answers about the Forge and a sneaking suspicion about the HV-MTL Mechs' intentions.
Today's third episode began with the word 'Forge,' followed by the BAYC's mascot, Curtis, noticing that something was missing from the mystical box, but he couldn't quite figure out what.
After some thought, Curtis wrongly assumed that he was missing a beer and not the golden bone that was last seen in the comic's first issue with Gary the Dog Prophet.
As Curtis's mind drifted to drinking beer on the dock, the page flipped, and viewers saw Bored Apes head over heels in love with the HV-MTL Mechs that had recently come through the rift.
Infatuated by the mysterious Mechs, the Bored Apes followed the creatures through the Rift in space-time to an unknown dimension beyond the swamp.
As the Apes followed the Mechs through the rift, the BAKC dogs, who were skeptical of the Mechs from the beginning, barked and barked to snap the Apes’ out of their collective trance to no avail.
The third issue ended with all the Apes going through the rift and the BAKC Dogs standing guard and ready for battle.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, 30,000 HV-MTL Mechs came through the rift in space-time on May 16th and the Bored Apes instantly loved them while the primate’s four legged friends did not.
While there is still a lot we do not know about the HV-MTL Mechs, such as their intentions in the swamp, we do know that Gary the Dog Prophet believes the HV-MTLs will play a major role in an epic battle.
“Gary is convinced there’s a cosmic battle on the horizon and needs every HV to evolve into its final form before it’s too late,” the BAYC wrote on its HV-MTL website. “But are the HVs new friends — or is there reason to be wary?”
The HV-MTLs evolution that Gary alluded to will likely take place during the HV-MTL Forge game that was first referenced on the BAYC’s HV-MTL Website on March 29th.
“In HV-MTL Forge: build and customize a workshop that prepares your HVs for their evolution,” the BAYC wrote. “Show off your creations to climb the leaderboard and unlock special abilities. Take risks and face the dangers of the rift to discover blueprints, gather materials, and craft upgrades.”
Again, while nothing is confirmed, many in the community believe that the Journey To Ev0 2 roadmap on the MDvMM website is the Forge game that’s teased as part of the HV-MTL storyline.
If the Forge is the Journey To Ev0 2 roadmap item, then HV-MTL Holders will have the chance to upgrade their mechs later this month.
