$APE ON TOP: BAYC Member Adam Weitsman Capped Off ApeFest With A Bored Blockbuster Deal That Made Him One Of ApeCoin's Biggest Holders!

ApeCoin has a new top holder, and his name is Adam Weitsman!

After a weekend of music, gaming, and culture on and off chain, ApeFest 2025 capped off with a blockbuster of a bored deal when Yuga Labs CEO Garga announced that longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and entrepreneur Adam Weitsman is now one of the largest individual holders of $Ape!

“Thrilled to welcome my friend @AdamWeitsman as a major investor in ApeCoin, and one of the token’s largest individual holders,” Garga tweeted. “Adam’s been an amazing partner and I’m grateful for his longterm conviction in Yuga’s vision. His track record as a builder makes him an incredible addition for ApeCoin’s next chapter.”

Following the announcement, ApeCoin took to the timeline to welcome Weitsman abored.

 

“Some fireworks to cap off ApeFest 2025,” ApeCo CEO Cameron Kates tweeted. “Fortunate to call Adam a friend, Ape, and partner. He’s locked in. Yuga is locked in. ApeCo is locked in.”

 

Tonight, we do not know just how much $Ape Weitsman acquired or at what price. But we do know making waves around the swamp and Web3 is nothing new for him.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, back in August Weitsman acquired over 5,000 Otherdeeds, Kodas, Mega Kodas, and more from Yuga Labs, making him the single largest landowner in the metaverse.

 

Since then, Weitsman has also purchased the HV-MTL collection from Faraway Gaming Studios, promising a reboot for the project, and teased that he may be interested in restarting the Applied Primate project.

All these moves and more reflect Weitsman’s desire to be a “beacon of hope” in the space and make Otherside a place that inspires the next generation.

“I’ve got some ideas about kids playing this all over the world,” he told NowMedia’s Matt Medved in August. “This is a tough world. A place that kids can dream in. They can dream that this is their house and this is their land…“I’d love to be able to have an advisor for every 30 Otherdeeds” who would teach them how to build. Teach them how to trade. Teach them how to barter.”
