Together, we’re driving innovation, community, and creativity into the future bridging Web3, culture, and iconic design. This collaboration marks the beginning of exciting IP activations and cross-community experiences that blend nostalgia with next-gen storytelling.”

With this announcement, DeLorean’s Web3 arm changed its profile photo to a version of BAYC member  and Creator Hub and Ape Games organizer  Hoarder’s Bored Ape, rocking an Ape to the Future jacket!

DeLorean Labs is the official Web3 arm of the DeLorean Motor Company and is building its $DMC token on Sui, aiming to bring tokenization to the automobile industry.

As a globally renowned brand for over 40 years, DeLorean intends to continue its tradition of innovation, the brand wrote in its whitepaper. “Delorean Motor Company is introducing a new line of electric vehicles while DeLorean Labs aims to redefine the DeLorean brand as not just an automotive icon, but as a pioneer in the Web3 space.”

This BAYC x Back to the Future connection isn’t the first time the club has crossed paths with the iconic movie franchise.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Doc Brown himself, AKA Christopher Lloyd,  tweeted that he was a fan of the Apes back in 2022 and that he liked his stepson’s primate!

“This is my Step-son’s @BoredApeYC NFT," Lloyd tweeted at the time. “He has been educating me on the space recently. I find the technology & culture behind it very fascinating. Doc always keeps up with innovation!”

The Bored Ape Gazette is working to learn more about DeLorean Labs and their Web3 initiatives and will be bringing you live coverage from all things ApeFest later this week! Stay tuned for updates!
