From the company that started NFTs to the end of an art minting era, it’s a quintessential moment in the Web3 world as Larva Labs teams up with Art Blocks to drop their latest collection, and you can ape in now and place a bid!

Eight and a half years after Larva Labs’ Matt Hall and John Watkinson put CryptoPunks on Ethereum, they are returning to the blockchain with a new collection called Quine that empowers the computer to turn code into paint and use crypto as its canvas.

“Quine is Larva Labs' contribution to the final Art Blocks Curated series, a project that underscores that all the works on the Art Blocks platform are generated directly from code with no artist supervision,” the duo explained. “Drawing from the computer science concept of a quine (a computer program that produces a copy of its own source code as its output), the work incorporates its own code into the visuals it creates."

In total, 497 works will be minted, with 477 available to anyone and everyone as part of a 24 hour ranked auction,  where everyone will pay the lowest winning bid, ending tomorrow at 12 P.M. EST.

At the time of this article’s publication, the minimum winning bid is just 0.2625 ETH (about $1,160 USD), according to Art Blocks. But note, this will likely rise quickly as the auction closes. If you want one, bid high!
