BACK TO BAYC-ICS: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Says ApeFest 2025 Will Be More Like BAYC’s First ApeFest, Focusing On One Big Night And More Chill Events All Weekend!

ApeFest 2025 is getting back to BAYC-ics with one epic night followed by a weekend with the best club on the internet, complete with merch, poker, ComplexCon, and degenerate vibes in Sin City!

Two days after thousands of BAYC members claimed their tickets for this year’s flagship event in Las Vegas, Yuga Labs CEO Garga explained the decision to focus on one big bored bash instead of a multi-night event.

In his post, Garga compared this year’s plans to the original ApeFest in 2021, when the BAYC took over New York City with a Halloween night yacht party, a merch drop with lines around the block, and a one night blowout event featuring Chris Rock, Aziz Ansari, Lil Baby, Beck, and The Strokes.

 

 

“The focus of ApeFest is always on one night tbh, with the exception of 2022 when we had strict capacity limits (even then intention was for apes to get in one night each),” Garga wrote. “We’re going a collab with ComplexCon the rest of the weekend, a merch store with another brand, and a Poker tournament on other days. Plus it’s Vegas. The number one critique people give is that they wish for ApeFest to be more like 2021 when we had one big bash at Brooklyn steel and then just a merch store and a much more chill yacht party. This is closer to that.”

 

 

While there’s still a lot we don’t know about this year’s ApeFest, Garga’s comments, along with some past teasers, give us a good idea of the anything but boring time Apes can look forward to later this year.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, ApeFest 2025 kicks off October 24th with a one night takeover of AREA15, a massive immersive art and entertainment venue in Vegas that’ll likely be decked out in full Ape aesthetic.

After the main event, the community will head to ComplexCon on October 25th and 26th for a two-day culture festival where ApeChain is the official blockchain sponsor. Apes will get to check out the latest from top brands like BAPE and Adidas, catch performances by Central Cee, Young Thug, Yeat & Friends, and also experience ApeChain IRL.

“There will be tokenized experiences at a scale never seen before, alongside APE Premier tickets for our community, and yes, we've got a few surprises up our sleeve,” ApeCoin’s Chief Commercial Officer Won Kim tweeted last week.

On top of all that, Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner teased that this year’s ApeFest will include the first ever Bored Ape Poker Tournament, complete with a champion’s bracelet fit for the swamp!

“There’s going to be a bored ape poker tournament at Ape Fest Vegas btw,” he tweeted. “Not sure about details or entry price yet, etc. Have asked team to work on a sick winner’s bracelet. Very stoked about all this. Would love to see it happen yearly, depending on how it goes.”

 

 

Alongside the official festivities, expect plenty of community-run events, including the Bored Run Club’s fun run, a Bored Trading Co. get together featuring tons of Made By Apes products, and more!
