BEEP. BOOP. BRIDGED: HV-MTLs Can Go CrossChain Between Ethereum Mainnet and ApeChain Starting Tomorrow!

HV-MTL holders will soon be able to move their Mechs back and forth between Ethereum and ApeChain as the collection goes crosschain, letting holders decide where their Bots live and play, without getting their wires crossed, thanks to LayerZero technology!

The HV-MTL collection’s reboot continues this week as HV-MTL owners Adam Weitsman and Gabe announced that HV holders will be able to bring their Bots from Ethereum mainnet to ApeChain beginning tomorrow.

“On Monday HV-MTL holders will be able to bridge their HVs to ApeChain and join all upcoming activities on the network,” Weitsman tweeted on Friday. “This is a major step forward for our community and we’re excited for everyone to experience what’s coming next.”

This crosschain news is the second major step in HV-MTL’s reboot, which officially began on Friday when the project invited holders to reactivate their Bots and claim their Amp pieces, which will eventually be used to upgrade the Mechs from their EVO1 to EVO2 forms.

“We’re not just burning we’re burning and activating HV-MTLs,” Gabe previously told the paper. “The way it works is your old HV-MTL gets burned and you receive the same HV-MTL with no AMPs plus the AMPs.”

By going crosschain, HV-MTLs will be included in upcoming ApeChain NFT activations, gain access to new liquidity, meet potential buyers where they are, and trade Amp parts, which will be cheaper NFTs, on a more gas efficient chain.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Weitsman and Gabe purchased the HV-MTL collection from Faraway Gaming Studios in September with the promise of top tier devs, great art, and HV-MTL’s eventual inclusion in Otherside.

 

Looking ahead, HV-MTL holders have between now and January 5th to activate their Bots and claim their Amps. Remember, holders will need six Amps to upgrade their HV to its EVO2 form. For Bots without any Amps, fear not. You’ll be able to purchase them on the secondary or you’ll eventually be able to burn your HV-MTL EVO1 for an all new NFT called HV-MTL Pets, which will be the Lil Pudgy or Mutant Ape equivalent to HV-MTL’s Bored Ape or Pudgy Penguin.
